I RENTED A CAR FROM AVIS NUORO FOR 400€ FOR 7 DAYS AND THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITH THE AMOUNT OF 1.116€ FOR NO REASON OR EXPLANATION. I TRIED TO GET MORE INFORMATION FROM AVIS NUORO AND THE ANSWER WAS THAT THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY CONTRACT. THEY SUGGESTED THE CONTRACT WAS PROBABLY FROM ANOTHER COMPANY, EVEN AFTER GIVING THEM THE CONTRACT NUMBER AND SENDING THEM THE CONTRACT BY EMAIL. THEIR CLIENT ASSISTANCE IS ZERO., NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE IF YOU NEED TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE OR IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE RENTAL. ONCE YOU GAVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER…. THEY FORGET YOU.
DON’T PAY THEIR FULL INSURANCE AS WELL, BECAUSE THEY WON’T GIVE YOU ANY ASSISTANCE. MY CAR STOPPED DUE TO A BATTERY PROBLEM AND INSTEAD OF SENDING SOMEONE TO HELP, THEY ASKED ME TO TAKE A BUS AND GO TO THE NEXT AVIS OFFICE 60 KMS AWAY (WITH 2 SMALL KIDS, ALMOST 40 DEGREES AND THE CAR FULL OF BEACH STUFF), INSTEAD OF SENDING US A TAXI, SENDING HELP OR SOMEONE TO CHECK THE CAR OR A SUBSTITUTION CAR.
IF YOU PAY THEIR FULL INSURANCE YOU GET NO COVERAGE AT ALL AND ZERO ASSISTANCE. IN FACT THEY DON’T GIVE YOU ANY DOCUMENTS, POLICIES, OR EVIDENCE OF FULL INSURANCE.
THERE ARE DOZENS OF CLAIMS ABOUT AVIS NUORO ON THE INTERNET REPORTING PROBLEMS WITH MONEY TAKEN FROM CREDIT CARDS. FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR MONEY AND CREDIT CARDS, CONSIDER RENTING WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY BUT AVOID AVIS AND ESPECIALLY IN NUORO WHERE HONESTY SEEMS TO BE ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE BEACH, BUT NOT IN THEIR AVIS NUORO OFFICE.
